landing Page Design

Landing pages are created for traffic that has been directed from PPC, web banners or emails with the goal of conversion (usually filling in a form). These are more effective than routing traffic to a website page, as there should be no links away from the page which encourage visitors to leave before conversion. Links to another page or website should be on the 'thank you' page once conversion is complete.

Project goals:

1) To get visitors to fill in the form on the landing page.
2) To give information about a newly available product or service.

What is in the design?

The design of a landing page is focussed on conversion (in this case a form to fill in). The content needs to be brief and to the point, and there should be no links that take the visitor away from the page being viewed. For Investigate 365, this newly-launched software allowed businesses to see their risks of a data breach. The form is fixed so that it stays on screen as the visitor scrolls down. The visuals are similar to those used within the product itself, which provides visual consistency. Additonally, the content is limited to the main USPs so that it is not overwhelming.
